The Journey Begins – Why Should I Visit the Negev?

The Negev desert in Israel has been branded the world most friendly desert because of its relatively mild climate, excellent accessibility and small size. Our visitors are always surprised to discover how incredibly diverse a desert can be.

Not only because on any given day or any given time, the differences in lighting never stop to amaze you, but because you just have to travel a little to witness an infinity of colors and textures.

Krivine Guesthouse is ideally situated to discover a large range of desert landscapes:

From the golden stone desert of Sde Boker area at our doorstep…

…to the darker colors of the Ramon crater (30 minutes drive)…

Beer Sheva, the least visited, fastest growing Israeli city with its large Russian-language and Bedouin populations living together is only 35 minutes away.

All this make the Sde Boker area  the perfect hub to settle down for a few days and use us as a basis to discover all these wonders.

The range of activities in the Negev is also very large,

  • Hiking paradise
  • Jeep tour
  • Lots of mountain biking trails
  • Horse or camel riding
  • Bird watching
  • Ballooning
  • Snappling
  • Sand boarding
  • Wine tasting
  • Contemporary history
  • Archeology (Nabatean cities and the recently discovered stone paintings).
  • Desert agriculture, desert farms, cheese making
  • Star gazing
  • Artists workshops
  • And even swimming in natural springs in the desert!

So let the journey begin…
